Ann Wiens is an artist, writer, and editor. She was Editor of the New Art Examiner from 1992-1996, and has written for publications including Art and Antiques, Chicago Magazine, CS, dialogue, New City, and the Chicago Reader. A monograph she authored on Chicago artist Darrel Morris was published by Telos in 2003. Wiens is Publications Manager for the Office of Community Arts Partnerships at Columbia College Chicago.

Wiens is currently working on a series of five paintings to be installed in summer 2004 at the Chicago Center for Green Technology as part of the City’s percent-for-art public art program, and has solo exhibitions upcoming at Second Street Gallery in Charlottesville, VA in November 2004 and at Byron Roche Gallery in Chicago in January 2005. Wiens is represented by Byron Roche Gallery.
